“ If you looked through my reviews you would find that I am a big fan of craft beer and breweries. Sea Dog Brewing is one of the earlier breweries in our great state of Maine with multiple locations. Getting a start in 1993, so older than me even. This is by far the best location of Sea Dog utilizing an old mill building and being right on the water. Although more enjoyable in the summer where you can truly enjoy the views from the patio. You can tell the building holds a lot of history and stories with the exposed brick walls the atmosphere and overall vibe is great especially for a brewpub. The menu has a good amount of pub fare and classics with enough variety everyone can find something. Seafood, salads, burgers, and more! I enjoyed their Cajun chicken pasta although chicken was a tad dry and my wife enjoyed her short rib special they had. Service was quick and friendly so no complaints with that at all. Although they are a brewery they have lots more to offer than just beers which is a plus. Because when it comes to beer Sea Dog is still behind on times and the beers are just not as good as many other breweries in Maine and elsewhere. They are decent enough to be paired with food but even their most popular brew, Blue Paw, a blueberry wheat beer is artificial tasting. Due to this I would say give their beers a try but maybe a cocktail is a better choice if you are looking to drink. If they made beer that was better quality they could be five stars. Especially during difficult times for breweries to stay open if you are a brewery you need to make great quality brews. Come here for the food and atmosphere/views but skip the beers! ”

Bang bang crispy shrimp was a win for the appetizer. They had a special with 3 types of rolls with lobster, crab and I can't recall what the other was but it was the perfect portion and delicious! Beverages were on point!!! ”

“ Came in late around 8:30 pm and they were getting ready to close but was happy to serve us. We sat at the bar and had a drink and shared a Brewers Cobb salad and Cajun chicken pasta... both were really good, pasta had a nice spiciness to it that made we wanting more. The kitchen was kind enough to split what we ordered into 2 separate plates. Service was friendly and I'll definitely come back for the Cajun pasta again. ”

“ We met my son here for a Sunday night dinner in Topsham. It's a great spot overlooking the Androscoggin river. There are other Sea Dog locations in Maine and NH. We were fortunate to snag a table outside with views of the water and a nice cooling breeze. The inside is large and feels open with tall ceilings and large windows. The restroom was clean. Our waiter was prompt and gregarious and he took excellent care of us. I was not too impressed with the draft beer selections, but ended up liking the Invader Pale Ale enough. Happy Hour is from 3-6 for $6 pint of beer-but not sure if it includes all beers. They also have a mug club. The menu is varied and it seems that most everyone could find something. The spinach artichoke dip with pita pieces was pretty good and we liked that our server suggested a side of chips as well for dipping. We ordered 2 fish and chips, one with ORings in place of fries; they were unfortunately out of tater tots. The portions were large and the fish was tender and flaky and we were given the requested extra tartar and lemons. My dining partner did not care for the batter, but I thought it was good. The fries and onion rings were standard, the coleslaw was meh. My son had the pan blackened haddock tacos (2) He enjoyed them and felt it was a good portion. Decent food and portions, reasonable and comparable prices, and a relaxing, casual atmosphere. There is a private parking lot. ”

“ I saw my aunt and uncle on their way up to Maine, and so they then saw me on my way up to Canada! And Sea Dog was the host - figured a brewing company can't be wrong for a meal. Went with the crab sandwich special - I was intrigued that they were featuring fresh Maine crabs over lobster and was coming off multiple lobster dinners in a row. It was fresh crab with some melted cheese (probably not needed). Decent size, good seafood flavor. Good beer selection, they ran the brown and stout past me and I went with the stout - not my first choice for lunch but the better tasting of the pair. Beer's decent. We ate outside - a very nice inner dining area, but with great weather that was the choice. Pleasant food, pleasant service, a pleasant time overall! ”

“ We visited on Father's Day when the weather was absolutely beautiful. After a short wait, we were seated outside overlooking the river. The service was fantastic. Friendly and fast. We both ordered salads and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. ”
